Quebec City was a favourite visiting spot for travellers and for British officers and their lady
|Timber Raft Timber raft on the Ottawa River. From the 19th
century onward, huge rafts of square hewed timber were floated down the Ottawa and St.
Lawrence Rivers for export to Britain.
